Ford Vans

2022 Ford E-Transit, the first of two all-electric vehicles purpose-built for Ford Pro commercial customers in 2022, offers exclusive features, unmatched configurability and work-ready accessories, supported by the Ford Pro ecosystem of end-to-end charging, telematics, service and financing.

Because one size never fits all, E-Transit is the only all-electric cargo van from a full-line automaker available in eight different configurations, including three roof heights and three body lengths, plus cutaway and chassis cab versions to fulfill multiple applications. E-Transit can be further customized with the addition of vocational bodies (on chassis cab and cutaway) and equipment like ladder racks and interior bulkhead and storage solutions.

To help ease the transition from gas-powered vans to electric, E-Transit offers the same interior cargo dimensions and most of the same mounting points as Ford Transit®. E-Transit can be ordered with a range of work-ready accessories like bulkheads and shelving directly from the factory, so the van is ready to work upon delivery. Customers can also work with any of the some 300 qualified upfitters around the country, including 13 located conveniently within 30 miles of Kansas City Assembly Plant where E-Transit is assembled alongside Transit, for all their equipment needs.

Other built-for-business features on E-Transit include optional Pro Power Onboard, which provides up to 2.4 kilowatts of power for customers to transform the vehicle into a mobile generator that charges and powers tools and equipment on job sites and on the go. That’s enough capability to power everything from belt sanders to circular saws.

Available Automatic Engine Idle Shutdown with Ford patented Smart Acceleration Truncation can help fleet managers improve driver behavior by limiting acceleration speeds based on auto-calculation of payload, enabling a smooth start after every stop, regardless of load or driver skill. This can help improve energy usage by limiting power on unladen vehicles.

Recognizing that commercial drivers spend long hours in their vans, Ford designed a highly functional interior for E-Transit with accommodating head room, leg room and interior walk-through room thanks to small details like the center console with an integrated rotary shifter.

E-Transit also brings SYNC® 4 communications and entertainment technology to commercial vehicles, featuring a standard 12-inch touchscreen that’s easy to use, plus enhanced voice recognition and available Connected Built-in Navigation. With Ford Power-Up Software Updates, E-Transit software and SYNC features can stay up-to-date without a trip to the dealership.

New Ford Pro Intelligence subscription services such as Ford Pro E-Telematics can be accessed by activating E-Transit van’s standard 4G LTE modem.

Ford Pro E-Telematics – complimentary for three years on E-Transit – is designed to help maximize run time with scheduled preconditioning when vehicles are connected to the grid, allowing drivers to bring the vehicle cabin to a desired temperature while still plugged in, helping preserve battery charge for use on the road. Customers also can use the platform to pay for public charging events centrally and to reimburse employees for home charging – all designed with fraud protection in mind.

Available standalone, Ford Pro E-Telematics also seamlessly integrates with Ford Pro Telematics so internal combustion and all-electric vehicles in a mixed fleet can be managed via the same, easy-to-use dashboard. Ford Pro Telematics is compatible with non-Ford vehicles via a plug-in device so fleet operators can manage their entire fleet from one Ford Pro application.

Helping to improve the performance of their drivers is top of mind for fleet operators, which is why E-Transit works with Ford Pro Intelligence In-Vehicle Coaching, real-time driver coaching delivered through SYNC 4 voice assistant. Any time a driver exceeds a speed limit, rapidly accelerates, brakes harshly, leaves the vehicle on while parked or fails to fasten a seatbelt, they will receive an in-vehicle audio message asking them to correct their behavior with thresholds set by the fleet manager. Fleet managers can also receive a driver score on individual drivers to help identify individuals who may benefit from additional training.

On the road with navigation enabled, drivers can benefit from new Ford Co-Pilot360 technology such as available Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Speed Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Assist, which together identify speed limits and automatically change the vehicle speed accordingly.

E-Transit also features additional standard Ford Co-Pilot360 technologies, including Lane-Keeping System and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. Available features include Blind Spot Assist 1.0, a 360-degree camera with Split View and Reverse Brake Assist. These features can help maintain fleet driving standards and help improve driver confidence.

The right range at the right price

E-Transit is a smart workhorse for North American cities, with targeted range designed to fulfill fleet needs based on insight from 30 million miles of customer telematics data – and at a price that helps make it easy to switch to electric. The average daily range for commercial vans in the U.S. is 74 miles. With a usable battery capacity of 68 kilowatt-hours, E-Transit has an available targeted range of 126 miles in the low-roof cargo van configuration. E-Transit cutaway models have a starting MSRP of $43,295 – and come backed with an eight-year, 100,000-mile electric vehicle component warranty.

“This makes E-Transit ideal for commercial customers who know their drive routes and often work in urban environments,” says Ted Cannis, Ford Pro CEO. “Our customers buy only what they need to get the job done. E-Transit provides ample range at a price that makes the transition to electric easy. And Ford Pro is just getting started.”

Ford Pro Charging is the only North American solutions provider that combines light-duty electric vehicle chargers with a single source for design/build services and offers a variety of solutions to fit fleet and driver needs, including home, public and depot.  E-Transit comes with access to the BlueOval Charge Network – North America’s largest public charging network – providing drivers with seamless public payment capability and providing fleet managers with central account and billing management.

Capability plus lower cost of ownership

Designed for uncompromised cargo capacity, the E-Transit battery is located underneath the vehicle body, allowing for up to 487.3 cubic feet of cargo space inside the high-roof, extended-wheelbase configuration.

Ford engineers designed the E-Transit rear-wheel drive and rear suspension to optimize cargo space, creating a heavy-duty semi-trailing arm suspension system enabling better steering precision and more confident handling, plus better traction both in laden and unladen conditions.

E-Transit cargo vans offer commercial customers the capability they need to get the job done, delivering a maximum payload of 3,880 pounds, and up to 4,428 pounds for

cutaway versions – with a powerful electric motor providing 266 horsepower/198 kilowatts of power and 317 lb.-ft. of torque across all configurations.

E-Transit is backed by Ford’s powerhouse network of more than 650 Commercial Vehicle Centers across the U.S. plus over 2,300 electric-vehicle certified dealers.

Cities around the world – from London to Los Angeles – are pledging to create emissions-free zones to improve air quality, reduce greenhouse gas levels and improve noise pollution. California has also mandated that all new cars and passenger trucks sold in the state be zero-emission vehicles by 2035.

E-Transit is part of a Ford investment in electrification of more than $30 billion through 2025. The all-new, all-electric Mustang Mach-E arrived last year, while for the all-electric F-150® Lightning production begins this spring.

Ford intends to achieve carbon neutrality globally by 2050. It is the only full-line U.S. automaker committed to doing its part to reduce CO2 emissions in line with the Paris Climate Agreement and working with California for stronger vehicle greenhouse gas standards.

E-Transit will not only help companies operate with the benefits of electrification, it offers clear cost-of ownership advantages. Scheduled maintenance costs for the all-electric E-Transit are estimated to be 40 percent less than the average scheduled maintenance costs for a gas-powered 2020 Transit over eight years/100,000 miles. And with lower maintenance requirements and the opportunity to avoid fill-ups, companies can help improve up time and productivity.

2022 Ford E-Transit™, the first of two all-electric vehicles purpose-built for Ford Pro commercial customers

Ford are the the latest vehicle manufacture to redesign how we think about electric vehicles. Ford Pro, the Blue Oval’s dedicated commercial arm founded in 2021, first teased its new electric workhorse in the second half of April. At that moment, most of the current market believed the LED light bar belonged to a Tourneo Custom without a combustion engine. However, that’s not actually the case as the EV in question is the E-Transit Custom, slotting below the bigger E-Transit.

It sounds like an interesting idea, with huge potential. Compared to the ICE-powered Transit Custom, the biggest changes have been applied at the front where the E-Transit Custom gets a shiny grille flanked by fully redesigned LED headlights. The right side of the bumper incorporates the charging port (an interesting placement choice, as most ports are where you’d expect them to be, -in place of where a traditional fuel tank filler cap is) while on the left side of the grille sits the “E” badge.

The new graphics of the headlights are mirrored at the rear where the “E Transit” and “Custom” badges are blacked out, – a stealthy look for this new model. Ford remains tight-lipped about the technical specifications, only saying the E-Transit Custom can cover up to 380 kilometres (236 miles) between charges. Bear in mind the range figure is not final, but rather the company’s estimation based on the WLTP cycle.

It remains to be seen whether it will utilize the same 68-kWh battery pack as the E-Transit. We do know it supports DC fast charging, which in the case of its bigger brother translates to 115 kW. Additional details will be released in September, and in the meantime, Autocar reports Ford Pro plans to sell the E-Transit Custom with the same 181- and 265-bhp electric motors as seen in the E-Transit. Both are located at the rear axle and generate a virtually instant torque of 318 pound-feet (431 Newton-metres).

That should translate to a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) run in less than seven seconds and a maximum speed of approximately 85 mph (137 km/h) which for a van are SERIOUS numbers!

Ford are the the latest vehicle manufacture to redesign how we think about electric vehicles.

Ford Pro has recently revealed an exciting announcement, giving us an exclusive look into the details of the brand new, all-electric E-Transit Custom, taking another significant step in its electrification transformation. Following closely after the start of the all-electric E-Transit’s production in March, the announcement soon came that a further four all-electric commercial vehicles would be introduced by 2024. Tailor-made to set a new record in Europe’s one-tonne van segment, the E-transit Custom will help businesses across the country to smoothly make the transition to electrified vehicles.

As the succeeding vehicle to the legacy of Europe’s best selling van one, two has been custom built to keep the same values in mind, effortlessly fitting in with the rest of the Ford Pro ecosystem’s quality and value-adding solutions.

Along with the rest of the range, the extensive platform of financing, software, charging and service solutions will help the E-Transit Custom’s Ford Pro Software to overcome massive hurdles, reducing operating costs and increasing uptime. The addition of the Ford Pro’s electrified line-up will be a bold and decisive move that will serve as the catalysis, allowing Ford to reach their ambitious goal of zero emissions for all Ford vehicle sales in Europe as well as carbon neutrality across the European footprint by 2035.

The designers of the E-Transit custom went all out when it came to making this vehicle – including an estimated driving range of around 380 km, full towing capability and 3 DC fast-charging, along with a new beautiful but efficient styling. With its advanced connectivity and ability to enable always-on relationships, this van will bring about a new way to be productive on the go.

“This is an important moment for all of Europe’s commercial vehicle operators and is a marker of our ambitions here at Ford Pro,” Hans Schep said, a general manager at Ford Pro Europe. “Supported by our custom made Ford Pro productivity-boosting services, Europe’s best-selling van has gone all-electric. It’s a massive opportunity to boost businesses all around Europe.”

Electric power is just within your reach. To provide an unparalleled customer experience, there have been a variety of new features to provide users with in-depth insights while on site. E-Transit Custom is sure to provide exportable power for tools, lights and devices, making the job even easier. In the E-Transit Custom, you’ll find a trusted partner for your business. Boasting an expressive and sculptural design, it’s a working vehicle designed for companies of all sizes.

The new model will set a new design goal for future generations of the one-tonne segment market with its rebalanced proportions, full LED lighting and confident stance on full display. This part of the most expansive Transit Custom range ever offered on the European market will enter production in the second half of 2023 with more detailed plans being released in September this year.

The Transit Customs will be built at the home of European Transit manufacturing, the advanced Ford Otosan Kocaeli site, under a €2 million investment made into its facilities. In addition, recently, three companies, Ford, SK On Co., Ltd. and Koç Holding, signed a joint venture, the Memorandum of Understanding. Under the agreement, one of Europe’s biggest commercial vehicle battery facilities will aim to provide a mid-decade production start, with an annual capacity of around 30 to 45 Gigawatt hours

Nothing sets of a new van more than the front grille. The Transit Custom changed the front grille as a facelift in 2018. The previous model the grille is pretty fixed since its utilised the Ford badge to actually hide the bonnet locking mechanism. Various attempts have been made to produce a grille for pre 2018 models but they are starting to look pretty dated.
The following types of grilles are available. Even a new Custom Sport looks better with a new Ford Grille

  • 1. Standard Grille
  • 2. Genuine Replacement Ford Grille
  • 3. Swiss Vans Modified Genuine Ford Grille
  • 4. Van X Style Ford Grille
  • 5. Swiss Vans Genuine Ford Grille In a colour
Chosen by customer at additional cost over Red.

The Van X Grille used to be supplied a few years back with Ford letters but this is no longer the case for legal reasons. The fit is better on the genuine grilles and less likely to get stolen because if this.
Our most popular grille is of course the standard Ford Vans Grille. We do keep some stock made in bulk of Red, Yellow, Blue and Silver. If you want a special custom colour we can do it but the cost will increase since we have to buy the material and literally send someone to wait while its done for you.

If you’ve been searching the internet for vans and van-related info, and especially if you’re into making things your own, you’ve probably come across the terms “van modification”. But what does it mean? At Swiss, we like to make sure that our customers know exactly what they’re getting (and that they get exactly what they want), so here it is: the Swiss Vans brief guide to modified transit custom vans

Custom Van Modification Basics

Essentially, van modification is super simple. It just means any modifications or changes that you (or we) make to your van. It can be anything from engine remapping to fitting a spoiler: anything from complex and mechanical to stylistic preference.

There are a huge variety of reasons why people might want to modify their vans, from needing chunkier tyres and different suspension for rougher terrain to fitting an upgrade kit for a sportier aesthetic. The things is, you’re in your van for a serious amount of time every day, so it pays to customise it in just the way you want / need, whether that’s mechanical, stylistic, or both. You can modify a panel van or a double cab

What We Offer at Swiss

Because we know that everyone’s needs are different, we offer a huge range of modifications (mods) and upgrades at Swiss Vans. We know that your van has to suit your lifestyle, so we do our best to make that happen. The list that follows is not exhaustive — if you want it, we can probably get it — but it will give you a good idea of modifications in general and what we do routinely as Swiss specifically. And as always, if you have any questions, our friendly sales team will be more than happy to answer them.

Alloy Wheels

that come with factory-installed alloy wheels, but they tend to be the higher-end models. If one of those doesn’t suit your lifestyle but you still want the stability and style of alloys, or just if you don’t like the look of the factory wheels, we can help. We have a huge range of alloys in a variety of rim sizes, so we can help you to get the look and the practicality you need. And while alloys are included in our great upgrade kits, they’re also available on their own, so we can be as flexible as you need us to be.

Front Splitter

Vans can look boring. Even we know this, and we love vans! If you want to liven up the look of your van without spending a fortune, consider a front splitter. By splitting the front bumper and adding in a new section, it completely transforms the curb appeal of your vehicle, and with multiple splitters available, we can offer you more stylish, more sporty, or even ABT. Our splitters are available as part of our upgrade kits or on their own.

Side Bars or Side Skirts

If you want to enhance the look of your van with some sleekness down the side, and you want to protect your side panels and side doors from everyday dents, scrapes, dings, and damage, then side bars or side skirts are definitely the way to go. They give the sides of your van a buffer from daily damage, and they give you a new, upgraded look for your daily drive.

Rear Diffusers

Similar to a front splitter, a rear diffuser adds a section to the rear bumper area of your van to create a great new look. As ever, we have a range of styles and options available, so you can customise your van with just the style you want.

Rear Spoilers

Increase your aerodynamics and the amazingness of your van! A rear spoiler is a great way to improve air flow over the back of the vehicle — useful for helping to reduce fuel consumption if you do a lot of miles and especially at speed — and it’s also a fantastic way to add style and personalisation.

Carpeting

We can arrange for carpeting for your van for interior doors, panels, and the ceiling. With a huge range of colours and durable, long-lasting fabrics, our carpeting can totally transform the van’s interior; you get increased comfort and style for a truly unique, customised experience. We also offer a soundproofing service, so you can create a comfy haven free from the noise and harshness of the road. It’s your van, make it one you love to be in.

Leather

Everyone needs a little luxury! Our leather interiors service in partnership with Hell4Leather is second to none in terms of its quality, style, and pricing. We have standard leather, Nappa, mock sued: from hard-wearing to utter decadence, we can help. At Swiss, we offer lots of different stitching styles — hexagon, honeycomb, diamond, box, Bentley, etc. — and a choice of 34 different colors, so you really will be spoiled for choice. Piping and perforations are free, and you can also have your leather upholstery customized with your company’s logo or whatever else you might want. All of our leather work comes with a 12-month guarantee (upgradable to 3 years), so you can be confident that the workmanship and material quality are assured.

Other Modification Extras

You can also go for roof bars, the amazing, British-made Vanorak storage system, a steering-wheel upgrade, ply lining of the cargo area, and more. We offer ABT upgrade kits too, so if that’s the look for you, we can help.

Swiss Vans For Sale

We saved the best for last! At Swiss, we also offer our famous, much-loved WASP and Hornet upgrade kits. Whether you want a more classic style or the latest in sportiness, our kits add interest and value to your van. With a splitter, spoiler, alloys, and more, our kits provide the perfect enhancements to your van at the perfect price. And what’s even better is that you can add the cost of your modification with Swiss to your lease agreement, so you can spread out the cost.

Your imagination (and maybe your budget) really is the limit with what you can do when it comes to modifying your van. And as ever, our friendly customer service team is ready to point you in whatever direction you need to go.

Give us a call at Swiss today to discuss van modifications for your vehicle, and let us help you build your perfect van.

Ford has earned the commercial vehicle a Gold Award from independent vehicle safety authority Euro NCAP based on the Ford E-Transit’s comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems.

The tech includes autonomous emergency braking when approaching vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, as well as lane keeping technology, traffic sign recognition and occupant monitoring systems. As well as a new custom trail version.

The Gold Awards for the E-Transit means Ford now offers the only two vehicles in the 2-tonne segment with Euro NCAP’s Gold Award for driver assistance, after the diesel Transit models were commended in December 2020.

This Gold Award given to the E‑Transit is true testament to Ford’s commitment to customer safety across its commercial vehicle range,” said Stuart Southgate, director, Safety Engineering, Ford of Europe.

Overall the E-Transit offers technologies including Pre‑Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Information System with Lane Change Warning, Junction Assist, a 360-degree camera and Reverse Brake Assist.

Ford’s Transit Custom Trail is also a Gold Award winner, making Ford the only manufacturer with Gold-rated vans in the 1‑tonne, 2-tonne and EV segments.

The company is already testing E-Transits in typical daily operation with selected customers across Europe, and customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in spring 2022.

A lot of things are in short supply at the moment. Sanity, time, vans: you might struggle these days to find a wide variety of what you need, and if you’re after a Double Cab, you’re probably facing either a long wait or a price that’s higher than you’d like. But fear not: Swiss Vans to the rescue! We’re offering some fantastic 2022 Double-Cab conversions, so whatever you need, we can probably help.

The Ford Transit Custom DCiV is a hugely popular vehicle, and for good reason. It combines reliability and ample cargo space with the extremely useful benefit of an extra row of seats behind the main driver’s and passengers’ seats: perfect if you’re moving people and stuff. Whether you’ve got a family to accommodate, you work in a team, or both, the DCiV — which stands for Double Cab-in-Van — gives you the flexibility to manage whatever life throws at you. This crew van is Ford’s version of the Volkswagen Transporter kombi, and both vehicles have proved hugely popular over the years.

Now though, low stocks as a result of Covid and Brexit disruptions, chip shortages, the ongoing shipping crisis, and several other factors have made these vans almost impossible to find. Things will probably settle eventually, but if you need a van, you can’t afford to wait until eventually.

That’s where we come in. At Swiss, we’re experts in custom conversions, and we’ve been selling customised Ford vans for years. We currently have available stock of our superb Double-Cab conversions, and we can work with you to find the exact van that’s best for your lifestyle. If you’re after quality, performance, and unbeatable customer service, we can definitely help.

Like their factory counterparts, our Double-Cab conversions come with a full-height steel bulkhead behind the second row of passenger seats. This provides safety and stability, and ensures that your cargo won’t make its way forward unexpectedly. The expertly built cargo area itself is roomy and secure, and it includes those essential load-lashing points to help you keep everything where it should be. It also features LED lighting, so you can see what you’re carrying.

Because when it comes to cargo, you need the power to shift it, Ford offer their excellent Euro 6, 2.0-litre TDCi EcoBlue turbodiesel. It’s available in 105hp, 130hp, 170hp, and 185hp, and it provides the perfect combination of power, efficiency, and a quiet ride. These vans are usually equipped with 6-speed manual gearboxes, but as Ford also offer a 6-speed automatic transmission, do talk to us about your particular requirements. We want our customers to really love their vans!

With a 2022 Double-Cab conversion from Swiss, you can expect a fantastic range of modified features that make your everyday driving experiences into something extraordinary. From alloy wheels and a large touchscreen to automatic windscreen wipers and cruise control, your van can be loaded with whatever makes your life easier. Air-conditioning, an alarm, parking sensors, and a multi-adjustable driver’s seat mean that your work van doesn’t have to be just a utility vehicle; it can be a fun, comfortable van for every aspect of life.

And if you’re wanting something even more special, we can offer our conversions with something extra: one of our outstanding WASP or Hornet upgrade modification packages. With possibilities for alloy upgrades, a splitter, a spoiler, side bars, mock exhaust, and more, you can have the style you want at a price you can afford. We also offer a huge range of other upgrade options, from leather to carpeting, roof bars to lowering, Vanorak to grilles. You really can build your dream van at Swiss!

We use our decades of expertise and wealth of technical know-how to build modified Custom Double Cabs that (in our humble opinion) are even better than the factory Ford DCiVs. We pay attention to every detail, and we do our best to ensure that every van you buy from us will do what you need, when you need it. And of course, we want to make things work for your situation, whatever that is, so we’re happy to be able to offer a large range of finance and lease options to suit almost every budget.

If you’re looking for a Double Cab, DCiV, crew cab, or kombi, and you’re struggling to find anything, give us a call at Swiss Vans today. Our friendly team will walk you through the process and answer any questions you might have. We can get you on the road before you know it.

A lot of things are in short supply at the moment.

The UK’s new light commercial vehicle (LCV) market grew by more than a fifth (21.4%) in 2021, according to new figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

There were 355,380 vans registered in the year, ending with the best December for the sector since 2015 with a 7.8% increase.

The robustness of the LCV market was due, in part, to strong underlying demand from key sectors – notably construction and home delivery fleets – with significant fleet investments resulting in 62,723 more units being registered in the last year than in 2020.

This performance is only marginally weaker than the strong 2019 market (-2.8%) and the five-year pre-Covid average (-3%).

Mike Hawes, SMMT chief executive, said: “After a difficult 2020, the commercial vehicle sector has bounced back, with registrations recovering to just shy of pre-Covid levels.

“While demand has remained robust, there is still the potential for market volatility with the Omicron variant and component shortages threatening supply chains.”

BEV uptake soared by 142.3%, although this equates to a relatively modest 12,759 zero emission vans and a total market share of 3.6%.

With petrol and diesel vans facing the same end of sale date as passenger cars, this shows just how far the LCV BEV market needs to grow even to replicate the shift taking place in the passenger car market, where BEVs account for one in nine registrations as opposed to one in 28 in the van market.

Vauxhall was the UK’s best-selling electric Light Commercial Vehicle (e-LCV) manufacturer in 2021. Vauxhall sold 2,916 e-LCVs in 2021, up a massive 984% on last year, outperforming the market that was up by 136%.

Sales success last year was underpinned by the all-electric Vivaro-e, the best-selling model in the e-LCV sector in 2021.

Paul Willcox, managing director of Vauxhall Crew Vans , said: “As a British brand, I’m proud to see Vauxhall is leading the electrification of the UK van market with our multiple award-winning Vivaro-e.”

Hawes says that manufacturers are working hard to ensure deliveries. “With a record number of battery electric vans registered this past year, customers can be assured that more of these new technology vehicles will be available to keep society and businesses moving in an increasingly zero-emission manner,” he said.

In terms of market segmentation, there were significant increases for both 4x4s and the heaviest vans weighing greater than 2.5-3.5 tonnes of 183.0% and 27.8% respectively, while vans weighing greater than 2.0-2.5 tonnes were the only segment to decrease, albeit by a marginal 0.8%.

The Ford Transit Custom range was the UK’s top-selling vehicle among both passenger and commercial vehicles last year. More than 53,000 buyers chose new Ford Transit Customs, while a further 3,750 customers bought Ford Tourneo Custom people carrier.

In addition to delivering 10% more one-tonne Transit Custom Lease than in 2020, Ford also last year supplied more than 34,000 of the larger two-tonne Transit, making it the UK’s third best-selling vehicle in the year.

Ford’s total commercial vehicle range accounted for one in every three vans bought in 2021.

Lisa Brankin, Ford of Britain and Ireland managing director, said: “Ford prioritised vehicle supply in a difficult year, with the pandemic ongoing and semiconductor shortages affecting the entire automotive industry, to grow commercial vehicle sales and meet the demand and loyalty to the Transit Custom brand.

Looking forward to 2022, the LCV van lease market is predicted to grow further to 363,700 units, bringing registrations in line with 2019’s 365,778 units.

The UK’s new light commercial vehicle (LCV) market grew by more than a fifth (21.4%) in
