Vauxhall Vans

The UK market is experiencing a significant shift with the rise of Volkswagen vans. This article explores the reasons behind their increasing popularity and the promising future they hold in the transportation sector.

Vauxhall Vans

Vauxhall has been a major player in the automotive industry for well over 100 years. Established in 1857 by Alexander Wilson; they started off making marine engines before they began manufacturing cars in 1903. General Motors acquired the company in 1925 and it wasn’t long until Vauxhall vans and commercial vehicles were on the production line.

What Vauxhall Vans can I get?

GThis expansion has seen success with the Vivaro, Movano, Combo and Corsavan proving to be popular products in recent times. Success has been built off the efficiency and reliability of the vans with there being a variety to choose from to suit all needs. You can cruise around cities in the nimble Combo or shift serious loads with the Movano.

Vauxhall Combo

If you need something which can step up in terms of manoeuvrability but with a bit more space for your load, the Combo is a small van that can do just that. There’s a bit of flexibility with the Combo as you can choose two different body lengths and roof heights depending on what you need for your business.

For a small van, it has impressive strength being able to shift up to a tonne in payload and hold up to 4.3m3 in load volume. With a lower floor and load indicator, this van is easier to load and unload. If you need to be able to carry more passengers, the Combo comes in a crew van model, too. However, this model is only available with one roof height and it is unable to take palletised loads.

The combo has a selection of 3 trims — the Edition, Sportive, and Limited Edition Nav. The Edition is set up for fleet buyers. The Sportive allows you to customise colours of the bumper to match the body or even add metallic paint to make for a smoother look. The best of them all, the Limited Edition Nav, like the Sportive trim, is designed with small business owners in mind.

Vauxhall Vivaro Van & Sportive

Probably the most well-known van in the Vauxhall range; over the years it has been tried and tested and is still going strong.  A medium van that is perfect for businesses that need a practical load area for their cargo; the Vivaro comes in a number of different forms.

Coming in three body styles: the Panel van gives you optimum space for a load, the Double cab provides extra seating to carry more passengers and the Combi bus is a minibus option that can seat up to 9 people. The Vivaro can carry up to 1.2 tonnes and has a maximum payload of 8.6m3. The Vivaro comes in two lengths. L1 is made for driving narrow streets and L2 for more cargo space.

For those who want something a little more practical with a few extras, the Vivaro comes in Sportive trim.

All electric Vivaro-e

For the conservative minded, there are several electric models of the Vivaro. The most popular, the Vivaro-e, is an all-electric option giving between 144 – 205 miles of travel on one charge, depending on the battery chosen. The battery can charge at rapid speeds to put you on the road faster, the lowest charge time being 30 minutes to get an 80% charge. The Vivaro-e is a front runner in the electric vehicle segment due to the range it has and its cost. With zero emissions and low maintenance, this van is eco and pocket friendly.

Movano

The largest van in the Vauxhall van range; the Movano is capable of moving some impressive size loads. There is so much choice with the Movano that you’re bound to find something to suit your specific needs. You can choose from four body lengths and three roof heights, with the options of front and rear wheel drive.

There is the chance to have a load volume of up to a massive 22m3 and can hold up to five euro- pallets, depending on what size and drive you go for. Conversions are also possible with the Movano chassis cab, too. You can have this Vauxhall van as a Luton, tipper or dropside.

Showing off its versatility, you can get the Movano in a double cab model so you can carry passengers. Not only that, but you can carry even more passengers with a Combi version.

The Movano also comes in full electric, with maximised productivity and lower operating costs. This electric van is super easy to drive — the push of a button operates the driving modes. This van is good for the environment with zero emissions, including noise and fumes. The Movano Electric (Movano-e) can get up to 154 miles on one charge and can charge to 80% in just one hour, giving you more time on the road. The Movano-e van has a choice of 4 lengths and 3 heights, with a payload of up to 2,100 kg, giving plenty of room for cargo. If ferrying passengers is important, there can be up to 7 seats available.
