Price and specifications announced for new Vivaro-e electric van by Vauxhall

Vauxhall recently announced price and specifications for it’s first factory-built completely-electrical van Vivaro-e. The van is priced £27,723 excluding VAT and after Plugged-in Van Grant.

British Gas has already placed biggest commercial BEV (battery electric vehicle) order in the UK to date with 1000 Vivaro-e.

Vivaro-e is going to be available in two versions, Dynamic and Elite, two body lengths, L1H1 and L1H2, two body styles, Van and Double Cab. The van also comes with two battery sizes, 50 kWh and 75 kWh. 50 kWh battery can travel up to 144 miles with a full charge while 75 kWh battery can cover 205 miles range. Both batteries are capable of 20,000 miles yearly mileage resulting in 75 miles of daily average mileage. With 50kWh battery charging 0-80% in 32 minutes and 75 kWh in just 48 minutes, both batteries are easily capable of rapid charging. The On Board charger provides 7.4 kW with three phase 11kW being an alternative.

Sharing the same load volume ability as the internal combustion engine Vivaro, the Vivaro-e has been based on the EMP3 multi-energy platform. With best in class payload of up to 1226 kg, the Vivaro-e can easily tow up to one tonne.

The van comes with three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Power. The driver can choose a suitable mode as per their requirements: Increased performance for heavier loads, optimized for daily use or lowest energy consumption. The MyVauxhall App offers the usual EV-connected vehicle services, including charge check, remote charging, and pre-conditioning. This is good news for customers that Vauxhall wins 3 Awards at Parkers 2021 New Car Awards.
