This is It! VW T6 Unveiled!

The highly-anticipated unveiling of VW T6 finally happened!

As speculated, the sixth generation Transporter carried-over the same footprint and silhouette of its predecessor, the VW T5. The T6 has a sharper exterior lines and detail. As expected, the 2014’s Tristar concept left its mark with the T6’s LED headlamps and rear lights.

The interior of the T6 is highly stylized and modernized, loaded with innovative tech features such as the infotainment system fitted with a 6.6-inch center console screen emulating the VW’s passenger car line. The windscreen is heated. The tailgate is electrically operated. Great features such as Front Assist area monitoring system, adaptive chassis control system dubbed Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) that affords three driving modes (comfort, normal, sport), and adaptive cruise control (ACC).The new 2106 VW Transporter T6 is available for recreational and commercial use.

Power specification of the T6 is from a new generation of 2.0-liter TDI diesel engines that was launched for the EU6 markets. Codenamed EA288 Nutz, the engine is available with 84PS (83hp), 102PS (101hp), 150PS (148hp) and 204PS (201hp).

To commemorate the launch, VW will offer a limited edition called Generation SIX, modeled after the Multivan Comfortline passenger van – complete with chrome package, LED lights, options of four two-tone paint finishing with matching interior features, two-tone Alcantara interior, 18-inch Disc alloy wheels and other safety and comfort features from VW.

The commercial version’s starting price is €23,035 plus VAT in Germany. The Multivan is from €29,952.
